Outdoor Flowers - Red and Orange

Angle:

My picture entitled Courtney as Moody Teenager is a good example of pictures using interesting angles. It's a good example because the lockers make your eye go straight to Courtney. The background is supportive of the idea that Courtney is a dramatic movie teenager because it shows that she's in high school. (With all the lockers and classroom door.) The lighting I think is very neat because it shines on the locker and you can see some reflection. I could improve on the rule of thirds because Courtney is sort of in the middle. But other than that I find this to be a suberb picture.

Texture:

Gross noodle thing is a really good example of texture! You can see all the curves and indents in the plastacine because of the focus. The noodle like things in the upper right corner are in much better focus then the ones aroudn the other edges so the focal point is clear and the background is supportive. Also because the noodle like things that are most in focus are in the upper right corner the rule of thirds was executed well in this picture.

Leading Lines:

My picture entitled Courtney is Awesome is a great example of leading lines because the stairs, railing, and the lines on the walls go towards her. She is also not centered so the rule of thirds is applied. The picture is in pretty good focus as well. The one thing I think I could have improved was making the focal point, Courtney, more clear.

Outdor Flowers:

This picture entitled, Red and Orange is a good example of a close up of flowers because it is very clear and the colors are bright. The flowers in the background are blurred out slighty so the focus point is clear. The flower in best focus is dangerously close to the center though so the rule of thirds could have been used better in this photo.

Portrait:

This picture of Mr. Polly is a good example of a portrait because he is surrounded by an enviroment that gives him character. Also that makes the background supportive, and because of the supportive background and use of the rule of thirds the subject is clear.

Close Up

Close Up: This is a picture of plastacine art. The focal point is obvious because objects not in focus are blurred. The rule of thirds is used because the focal point is not in the middle. I rather like this picture because the color is very bright. I wish i could take the date stamp off though.

Group Shot:

FAVORITE PICTURE. Callum Dancing is a great picture to me because the shutter speed makes him appear like a ghost. The rule of thirds is used because he is on the right side not centered. I like this picture because you can see all his crazy arm movements.
